Banyan Tree Reading Centre is in the process of registering with the Myanmar Ministry of Information to gain permission to open a library in Burma (Myanmar). Banyan Tree Reading Centre believes in the value of early education and early literacy and in education for all.

20 December 2008- Christmas in the park! 59 children and parents helped us celebrate the holiday season by holding a children's picnic in the park featuring storytelling, children's music, and art.
16 November 2008- Presenting...the Princess and the Pea! Banyan Tree Reading Centre holds a children's drama show, music, and storytelling.
September 2008- Banyan Tree Reading Centre helps out cyclone affected children by running outreach storytelling and art activities in the Delta region.
4 May 08- We are still open after the cyclone!! None of our books were damaged during the cyclone! Come on in and keep reading!
